Companions

Sometimes, an artist has to put aside her palette and stick with two
colors.  I chose yellow ochre and ultramarine blue, and produced this
earthy, symbolic piece.  After selling the original very quickly, I tried
painting another like it but failed.  That is when I learn that every
original is practically a one hit wonder.  I’m glad for it.  That means I
won’t ever have to be a copy machine.
