| Popoki Hulali “Shiny Cat” in the Hawaiian language, as told to me by a former neighbor who was always seen taking walks nearby. The watercolor paper I used was a Fabriano Uno soft press, 300 lb, made in Italy, and was wonderful at soaking lots of paint because it kept it looking misty soft and vibrant at the same time.
